Synopsis
Vietnam 1966: A group of young men and women, a new wave of aspiring combat photographers collide in Vietnam. Among them is SEAN FLYNN, son of a Hollywood movie star, TIM PAGE a runaway Brit & the inspiration behind Dennis Hopper’s photojournalist in Coppola’s Apocalypse Now, CATHY LEROY a fearless French woman inspired by photo essays of Vietnam in Paris Match, DANA STONE, a logger from Vermont, JOHN STEINBECK, son of the legendary author and MIKE HERR, whose writings would become the basis for his legendary book Dispatches & later Kubrick’s Full metal Jacket.
None of them could ever have imagined the devastating consequences the war would unleash upon them. What they experienced upon their return, Tim Page defined as their Vietnam Whiplash. The war in Vietnam would take them a lifetime to come to terms with. This is their story.
